are many sustainable features in this medical office building.

recycled. A major passive feature of this building is the large
cobrahead roof on the third floor of the addition which spans
over 200 feet in length. This brings in large amounts of natu-
ral daylight without overheating the space. 2" Tecpan
Insulated Champagne Anodized Aluminum Panels Clad the
exterior architectural Element, Fascia and Sloped Soffit at the
"Cobrahead". The project was designed by Ellerbe Becket
Architects, and the 2" Tecpan insulated Aluminum Panels
were install by Glass & Metals LLC of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The three-story, 106,700 square foot addition on the south side
of the existing medical office building gives the facility much
needed space to expand services. To support the new space
major renovations were designed in the existing 232,000
square foot MOB, improvements to the mechanical and elec-
trical infrastructure.
